Thanks to those who provided this new kayaker with information regarding clothing for cold water kayaking. My shorts and tee shirt have been retired for the season and I am trying alternatives from my limited wardrobe before making new purchases. Most respondents indicated neoprene wetsuits were the way to go. There are lots on the market and seem easy to find. However there are some other products around. The ones I am interested in some feedback on are Goretex type jackets with neoprene cuffs. These are designed to attach to the sprayskirt and form a complete seal. Has anyone tried these ? Will they substitute for a wetsuit ? Do they keep you dry during a wet exit ? grant Grant A.
