It was rude but it is good to get this kind of thing out in the air. If
more paddlers would speak up we could put an end to paddler abuse. Paddler
abuse has reached epidemic proportions. It has gotten to the point where if
one sees a woman wearing a pants suit you can be pretty sure its a paddler
covering her bruises.

Many people think paddler abuse is restricted to women but men too have
emerged from boats badly bruised or even bleeding. Of course, being macho
men, they don't complain and the abusers go unpunished.

I bet the instructor blamed you too. I am glad to see that Jennifer
recognises that it was not her fault. Too many assume that they are to
blame either because they bought a non British boat or failed to install
their own form fitting pads.
