I've been subscribed to Paddlewise on and off for about 18 months. Yeah. . . survived the Wave-Length transitions to get away from Tim, "Sponson Johnson." Sounds to me like it's time to start yet another group, one where people don't ridicule your interests. 

Just for the record, I've got a pretty extensive background in exercise physiology. Outdoor recreation is pretty much what I do full-time. Yeah, I get paid for it. I've broad experience with camping in arctic, mari-time, desert, and alpine environments. Other intersts include Nordic skiing, cycling, hiking, fly-fishing, and target shooting (former biathlete).

I've a sense of humor, but I think the wise-assed comments here are uncalled for. I'm not going to waste anymore of my time with this group.
