<< I've had good luck with just sandals and fleece socks. Last winter I stepped out of the boat into some water so cold it seemed to burn. Soon as I got my stupid feet out of the water and back in the boat they warmed right up. Water sloshing around in the boat probably wouldn't have helped much though. >> But what if you "stepped out of the boat" for an extended swim, Clyde. Would those highly ventilated sandles or other's (Ari's?) vented neoprene booties do much for your feet? Wonder if it's getting to the season of the year when we have to start discussing "dressing for the water" again? >If I went for an extended swim in that kind of water I'd be much more worried about other things shriveling up than my footsies. (Oops, there I go being a smartass again, or was it wiseass or fatass or dumbass or all of the above? 'Course you guys with your nice comfortable dry suits might see it differently. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Oct 19 1998 - 07:59:21 PDT
