Hi! My home page has a wonderful article on doing the customizing thing. <www.totemwood.com> I just found a copy of SeaKayaker's eval of my Pursuit-they got it right-it's too big for me-well, except for my size 12's !<g> I started "foaming out the pretty red boat-sans the weight I spoke of and it is a real improvement I think-but then... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- Don't know if I ever got around to catching you-all up to date, but in March-shortly after customizing my Pursuit, I uh, took a "header" out of a moving van. While in the 28 day coma that followed, I had an arguement with God, and was sent paddling-ROLLING no less! <G> The Para-medics gave me a death prognosis, and the brain surgeons said best could be expected was a wheel chair that I would "drool" in. Ha! They were a bit wrong... My coodination isn't what it was-not terrible, but not what it was. Cognation isn't all that great-too bad as I try to rehab my 1973 RV... Oh yea, and I take some meds to keep my spirits close to reasonable. STILL the Pursuit sits beside my "new home" waiting for me. I finally got a piece of paper signed by my doctor that will allow me to take the drivers test, and passing THAT, might make getting my boat out-"better late than never" ;-} I've about reached my limit, and am considering putting my home-made rollers on the thing, and towing it the mile or so streight down to Jaunita bay. Frankly I'm a bit frustrated because of my delay in getting back to the water. The looks I can expect to recieve, should I choose to tow the pretty red thing all the way by hand, make me look for other alternatives... <shrug> What the heck, They had to take a big chunk of my skull off and store in the deep freeze for a couple of months while they fixed a bunch of bleeders, and I got it "reinstalled" in June but it wasn't until recently I could be allowed to make a try of "living independently." Clearly, I got a lot to re-learn-there's some "white spots" where some of my memories used to lay... <g> No matter, I'm shooting to be in my boat on X-mas day at the latest-*even if I DO have to get it to the water on foot!* <VBG> Thanks for your time in reading this. Take care y'all!
