As I mentioned before, I have a screw on top burner for propane, Bill Ridlon mentioned his Gaz burner. I recently camped with someone who had a Gaz burner, and while his stove worked well, what I was really impressed with was the lantern. My screw on coleman lantern is fine but his litle Gaz lantern was really nice. The light it threw out was nearly incandescent in color, not nearly as harsh and green as my coleman. It could have been the frosted globe, maybe the fuel. I dont know, but between its size (about 3x3x5, boxed) and the comfortable light, I seriously cosidered switching, even though the fuel is about 3 times as expensive.
