I am familiar with reading lat and long from a topo and converting it to a landmark. There are several websites that offer online maps that you can get a "fix" on a location with the mouse. I have not found any Canadian online maps to offer this feature. To my knowledge, the Canadaan Government copyrights their topo map series (the USA does not), which means that it's not likely that someone will publish electronic versions. Until the Canadian Feds do? If you do run across any, I'd be interested in hearing about it. I've been thinking of scanning the ones I have in for my own use, but that's an insignificant amount and there's a *lot* of Canada.
