I have size 13+ feet, and am 6'2". I tried all the local
boats, and found that the Seaward Tyee had the most foot
room. That's what I bought, and I've been happy with it except
for the seat (I'm on the fourth generation seat, looking for the
perfect seat). It has good room and is average for speed and
handling.

Bob
I do not have a big foot problem but I can identify with the seat problem.(
no comments please on big buts or I will get Tim Sp*ns*n on the list) None
were comfortable at all. I talked to Nigel Foster about it and his answer
was for me to custom cast a seat. What I did was buy a big bag of plaster
of paris mix it up and pour it in to double heavy duty garbage bags and sit
on it.( till it started getting HOT) Made a perfect impression of my seat.
Cleaned it up after it dried and waxed it so I could pop a fiberglass mold
off of it. Tada A perfect seat with every dimple, bulge and use your
imagination on the rest of the description. I have used this mold in five
different kayaks and always it fits and needs no padding at all. Try it and
your seat problems will be forever gone. ( once you play with the tilt and
angle so your legs don't fall asleep.)
