Anyone have any experience with inflatible kayaks on the ocean/lakes? From what I've seen, most are designed for white water and/or river touring. I'm wondering how they would handle in 3-5 foot surf or storm waves. Light/moderate surfing would be nice and I (hopefully) don't see myself in anything larger. Some have floor board inserts so you wouldn't end up with your toes behind your ears if you went up a wave face. Do they hold up to UV and salt water? Do they track at all or are you going to be pooped after a couple of hours? How puncture proof and repairable are they? Prices range from $200-$1500. Probably get what you pay for! Any other considerations? *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
