[Paddlewise] East side of the Sea of Cortez?

I am planning a seakayak trip on the East side of the Sea of Cortez for early
January.    We will likely paddle from Guaymas down the coast 100 miles or so.
What type of water conditions can I expect?  I have paddled the West side from
Mulege to Loreto (a nice section of the coast) in February and the conditions
varied from flat to a 4-5 foot swell from the North.  Is the East side the
same
or is there a West swell from across the Sea?  John Loomis
