Whether they do or do not, it is against the Olympic and international canoe racing rules to add any gunk or slime to the hulls of canoes or kayaks. As it is illegal to pitt the surface of the hull in an attempt to reduce surface drag (they apparently scrutinize the hull with a microscope at some races). Apart from unfair advantage, we do not want any more chemica grot in in our waterways jim *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Mon Nov 09 1998 - 12:34:58 PST
