Thule has a "Fit Kit" that is car-specific. The Fit -kit allows their towers
to fit  on vehicles that are lacking rain gutters.I think that  Sea Kayaker
Magazine might have some reviews of various rack systems that you could
check out before you make an investment that , for me at least, will keep
growing to allow you to use your rack for skis,bikes, canoes,
kayaks,luggage, lumber, etc.
