To follow that logic we should use 4 bars, because one may come off?

Btw, the last time I looked, most planes do not have redundant wings, tail,
and many other components where a failure would be catastrophic.  Sure there
have been wings and tails lost causing crashes, but they are not redundant.

My point is simply that the risk justifies the precausion. Would I fly a
single on an extended open water flight...nope, but many ferry pilots do it
regurlaly, and safely.
