I use "Rain-ex" (or whatever you call it) on my lens. It's that stuff
you put on windshields so that you don't need your wipers. More to the
point, I put it on the glass that covers the lens on my underwater
cameras. It will significantly cut down on your water droplet problem.
As an aside, I also use it on my dark glasses that I paddle with. You
can roll with this stuff on your lenses and come up able to see.

I once suggested this in a photo ng and several people pointed out that
the lens and/or the glass covering it may have an optical coating on it
that would get marred by Rain-X. YMMV.

Steve;
I wouldn't do this with my Leicas, Contax or Rollei but I wouldn't
hesitate to do it to my Minolta underwater camera or to the glass on my
underwater bag. A case could be made for treating a plane glass lens
cover as well.
