Although I've never owned a drysuit, I know a lot of divers who do, and they use KY Jelly to lubricate the seals. I don't know if KY's been brought up on the list. cya *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

I read the discussions here and on rec.boats.paddle on drysuits and want to try my new one in our pool session. Does anybody know if a *light* chlorinated water does any harm to the seals? Does anybody know where to BTW.: Ive got strohlquistbParagon to be seen at: http://www.stohlquistwaterware.com/drysui.html -- Rainer Schröter, Marburg *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

The chlorinated water shouldn't damage the seals. But make sure you rinse your suit with fresh water. Just wear it into the shower at the pool. When customers buy a dry suit for the first time, we give them orientation dives in the local pool before sending them out into the ocean. >>> Rainer Schroeter <rasch_at_gmx.de> 11/23/98 12:00PM >>> Hello everybody, Bob Denton wrote: > > Although I've never owned a drysuit, I know a lot of divers who do, and they > use KY Jelly to lubricate the seals.
