REI sells a Travel Chair with a steel tubing frame and canvas seat and back that I can take apart and store next to the skeg box in my Romany. I like it because it seats me off the ground and has a decent backrest. It takes a little time to assemble and disassemble, though. See http://merc.rei.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=2214&prmenbr =8000. I have never tried one of the fabric seats that rest directly on the ground but they seem to be too much like sitting in the kayak again. Has anybody found "THE" camping seat to buy? *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

I find it uncomfortable and hard to get out of, but at least it's more comfortable than one of those chairs made from a therm-a-rest mattress.
