[Paddlewise] Re mutual assistance

Lloyd Bowles' comment brought to mind stories a fraternity brother used to
tell about growing up on the Virginia coast in the early and mid-fifties.
Outboard motors were much less dependable then than they are now.  He
fished out of a rowing skiff that was equipped with a removable mast and
sail.  He relished the times he towed a powerboat into port, whether he was
rowing or sailing.
