Practice in a white water boat does not cut it. You need to practice in the boat you will be paddling. Sometimes its a good idea to put on all your paddling gear. Remember you are the biggest boat in the pool. White water boaters revert to basic tribal instincts when in a group. They make loud noises and grunt a lot. If they get the chance the white water paddlers will take-up more then their share of the pool, by zooming about, racing from one end of the pool to the other and doing "End -O's". They also like to raft up in the middle of the deep end and gossip. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Thu Dec 10 1998 - 07:46:37 PST
