According to Randy Carlson, one of the co-chairs of the Coastal Kayaking Committee, each of the five new areas will be a separate course and requires a separate instructor course. For example, if you want to be certified to teach the 8 hour ACA surf zone course, you must attend and pass the surf zone certification class.
