AHHHHH-HAAAAAAAA Finally someone speaks the truth about weather!. Weather is sexy, hip, cool....people can't get enough weather information. For gawd- sakes man...there is a freekin cable channel devoted to the weather (there is no GPS channel or flare channel or stroke channel). The back page of USA today is ALL WEATHER. People dig it. I even sat my butt in a heated BMW seat once and pushed the WX button on the stereo to listen to the weather (NOAA). A $70,000 car has the weather! What other feature is a single push of a button? huh? heat? nope thats 2 buttons. OK horn and flashers are single button, instant gratification features along with the weather radio. Guys, want a date? Tell the fancy girl that runs the law firm down the hall what the weather will be like in 3 hours. In 3 hours she will think you invented nuclear fusion or something!. I'm tellin' you... If you hone your weather prediction skills you will never want for another date on a Friday night. Weather is in, weather is cool (no pun intended) we all want weather... it's a primal need. The only thing people dig more than planting in front of the TV to watch the weather is dialing for the Lotto numbers. So, get out there...learn the weather, get a date and have fun paddling. attached mail follows:
I've only been glancing at the weather discussion every so often, so I may
have missed something, but I can't fathom how anyone could find weather
boring. It's one of the reasons I like sea kayaking, it allows me to really
live in the weather, to really be in the present. Most of the time we're
sheltered by our homes and cars, but while I'm kayaking weather conditions
are as elemental as whether it's day or night. An introduction to weather is
included in the Bay Area Sea Kayaker novice clinic. A significan portion of
kayaking in the San Francisco Bay Area is shaped by weather. Finding the
luminous windows between winter storms, and looking to the pervailing NW
wind to push us on home in the summer.
