While fishing from shore at Beechy Head just west of Victoria BC, I watched a pod of orcas go past a few hundred yards out... In an instant one broke away from the pod and headed straight for me... He came within 10 feet of where I was standing...tilted and looked right at me... I will never forget it... could have eaten me in a minute... As quick as this magnificent mass appeared... he was back to the pod... He did look me over...
