I'm convinced that I'll wear a hole in the bottom of my Prijon Taifun long
before the plastic gets brittle enough to crack. When I'm not paddling the
Taifun it hangs from the ceiling in my garage, protected from sunlight.
After a year and a half of intensive use and another year and a half of
light use, the bottom of the Taifun looks like someone roughed it up with a
scraper and then tried to smooth out the grooves and scratches with
sandpaper. In practical terms, deterioration caused by u-v light is a
minor problem for me.
