I am still trying to get comfortable. Somebody referred me to
Tempurpedic, which makes Swedish high-performance beds out of magic
shapeshifting thermoplastic foam. 80 bucks for a seatcushion. Anybody
know of a source of blanks of a similar material for a reasonable price?

I have one of the small Tempurpedic pillows I use on my recliner. It
is wonderful. However, I would not think to use this on the water -
definitely NOT made of closed cell foam!

There is another company that makes a similar type pillow for less $$,
but the name esacpes me. For paddling, I would look at an inflatable
seat (I heard that Nautiraid makes a nice one) or a bicycle gel pad.

  Good luck!

If I am not mistaken I believed I raised the question of why my legs were
falling asleep a while back on the list. I was referred to an article in Sea
Kayaker on carving my own seat from minicell foam and I just wanted to confirm
that this is the answer to the problem, at least in my case. thanks again
everyone.
