paddles with crossings, etc. In the mean time, some of us need to remain committed to working toward a goal that seeks to include everyone in this enjoyable activity of kayaking, even if we would rather just stick our heads in the berm. ------------ This is pretty much the point I wanted to make. Not everyone wants to be a Tsunami Ranger nor should they be allowed to participate in group activities beyond their physical or technical abilities. However there are a lot more who might be considered 'puddle paddlers' and have no intention of attempting anything challenging at all. (I'm somewhere in between). I commend you and your group for taking the time and interest to bring 'less than perfect' individuals along in the sport. That's not to slam anyone else who doesn't, it's just that your position is, in fact, admirable. And like you said, this might be the incentitive some need to begin some sort of physical fitness program. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************Received on Thu Jan 28 1999 - 06:57:15 PST
