Wes, I think you have a good idea, Matter of fact I am hoping to extend my seat a bit further with some [is it closed cell foam?] foam I have used to do the majority of "fitting out" my kayak. It was something I was contemplating before I got "land-locked..." in March. Clearly I will attempt a follow through on this. I have a wonderful Article by a fellow a little bit up north about Fitting Out a Kayak that Robert might find helpful as well. Experience by those who've done this are happy with the results...
