OK, sea kayaking manufacturers listen up. I'm starting a list of names I
expect to see used starting with the 1999 models:
Hold on to your cockpit coamings, here come the newest for '99!
The:
Mukraker, Mukkabout, Mukrunner
Saltyfog
Coastscraper
Surf Chicken (thanks to Bay Area Sea Kayakers)
Flipper
Seaweed Siren
Hullbent (rotomolded plastic only)
Anyone care to add to the list?
Barbara

Well, Prijon makes the Seayak, which is appropriate, if not terribly
creative. Of course, their classic WW boat is the Hurricane, which seems
out of place in Middle Tennessee and places like that.

My own boat is appropriately named for a person who tends to exaggerate
his paddling exploits. It's a Sea Lion. A few weeks ago, when we stayed
too long on Cumberland Island and had to do a stealth crossing of the St
Mary's River (just downstream of the nuclear sub base) in the gathering
dark I would have been happy to be paddling a Dagger Vesper ('vespers':
prayers said in the early evening).

As far as new boats, I'm waiting for a surf kayak called the Broacher
and a new folder called the Crease. Barbara mentioned the Flipper, which
is designed as a women's boat. The men's version is the Flippim.
