I've got a gore-tex Kokotat drysuit I've used for ww. (I'm in the process of
building a Pygmy Coho to try my hand at touring) I went for both the
'relief' (pee) zipper and the latex booties. I highly recommend both. The
usefulness of the zipper speaks for itself! I typically wear polartec socks
under the booties and hard-sole neoprene booties over them (the Okespor ones
with laces that resemble high-top sneakers). Works like a charm. The latex
booties are easily replaceable, but you do have to be careful with them.
You really shouldn't do any walking around in them without sturdier shoes of
some kind over them.
