[Paddlewise] "Trick" rolls

I may be re-describing a roll whose name I'm not recognizing, but here's
one I like to do to see if the paddler really has the setup stuff correct:
go over with the paddle in the right side roll position. When upside down
pass the paddle in the air across the upturned bottom of the kayak and roll
up on the left side.

I've always rolled with offset paddles (yes, more whitewater experience
than sea kayak). I like your description of what I call a layout roll, the
first roll I learned, and yes, I've always done it with the offset blades.
The non-paddle float blade is under the armpit and held there by the
corresponding arm. However, I also have vivid recollections of my
girlfriend dislocating her shoulder doing this roll in a swimming pool - so
not advised for those who might be prone to that!

It's 65 degrees here today, flat calm, and slight overcast. Wish I was on
the water!
