FWIW, if you decide to try the Nikonos system :
*	the waterproof Sekonic meter for the older Nikonos cameras is fairly
expensive even if you can find one. (They stopped making them for some
period of time and some underwater photographers were literally were buying
them and hording them as spares.) I read recently that someone is starting
to make/market a waterproof version again. Try contacting the technical
folks at Ikelite for more information.
*	as someone else mentioned, the 15 mm Nikonos lens is very expensive.
It's one of the best underwater wide angle lenses out there) BUT the optics
on this lens are designed to only focus underwater...anything above water
will be out of focus.
*	you can pick up a used Nikonos V and the 35 and 28 mm lenses do a
good job; the V does have a built-in averaging meter (do you really want to
deal with a separate, hand-held meter?). The cameras are excellent and
bullet-proof given some average care and feeding.
*	the Nikon "RS" is (was) the newest UW Nikon; it's autofocus and is
basically an armored version of their top-of-the line F4; it's incredibly
expensive and bulky. Unfortunately, it also had a fairly bad reputation for
not sealing up very well...a very bad thing for expensive electronics meant
to be regularly used in salt water...I'm not sure of the actual reason, but
Nikon stopped manufacturing/selling the RS a year or so back.
