[Paddlewise] Who we are ?

Me?  Never been in a kayak in my life - never even seen one.  I'm 46 
years old and think it's time to try something else.  I've survived 
motorcycle touring for many years and I think I'll try the water for a 
while.  Already got all the lightweight camping gear and sense of 
adventure.  I live in central Illinois and think I'll try some river touring this 
summer.  Now, if I could just find a boat and someone to show me how 
all this stuff works...
