Much simpler (and easier on the paddleshaft): lift both legs up and over the side of the cockpit. Extend your feet downward and as you lean forward, pivot on the coaming using the backs of your knees/upper thighs as the fulcrum. This will leave you standing, straddling the yak. The rest is easy. Note: won't work if you can not get your legs out on deck from a sitting position.
