One that comes immediately to mind and is a great inspiration to anyone who has heard her talk or knows of her exploits is Audrey Sutherland. Has done wonders of paddling with an inflatable. She is on the north side of 60 and does many solo paddles in remote parts. Her demonstration on how she camps is a work of art. She packs light enough to be totally self-contained when moving through airports etc. She is the champion of making certain that everything she has can do double and triple duty. I know she makes the symposium rounds. Look for her name on the list of speakers and pounce. ralph diaz -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ralph Diaz . . .
