I made a dolly which works extremely well for a folder. I used 2 12"
"noodles" cut in half and glued to some scrap wood. The edge of the wood is
about 6 inches apart and the keel drops in perfectly. The axle and 2 plastic
wheels run perpendicular to the noodles.

Subject:	[Paddlewise] New stowable kayak dollies for folders?

A new Northwest Outdoor catalog arrived today and shows two interesting
stowable kayak dollies, the Midwheels and the Stern Wheels. They can
also be seen at:
htp://www.nwoc.com

Both would seem to be suitable for folders. Anyone who has tried the
Kayak Kaddy on his skin boat probably knows that the little "v" finds no
support above the keel and the whole thing gets gets hopelessly skewed.
Other stowables have similar problems. The Stern Wheels, however, has
"v" arms 8" long that should reach to a longeron for needed support.
Similarly, the Midwheels ought to also find support at several longerons
and also work well.

Because the picture of the Midwheels is a little dark, I have asked for
a larger drawing to be mailed to me. Once it comes, I can fax it
around.
