If it did degrade latex, the would be a lot of law suits and unwanted
pregnancies the manufacturers would have to contend with!

I've used KY jelly on the gaskets of both a Patagonia Nemo drytop and a
Kokatat gore tex drysuit without any problem.  It's water soluble so it
washes right off.  It can make it much easier to put the suit on, especially
when it's new and the gaskets haven't had a chance to stretch a little.
