As long as we're getting into other less macho stuff, does anybody use anything to keep their hands from cracking and falling apart that's as good as or better than Bag Balm? I'm building a stitch and glue kayak in an unheated garage, trying to get out on the water at least once each week, and, although it's about the mildest winter I can remember in the Mid-Atlantic, my hands are really shot. Bag Balm --- for the Floridian, international and urban elements on PaddleWise, it's the stuff that's massaged into bovine udders to prevent chapping in cold weather --- works really well, and is a sailor's standby in my part of the world. A little hard to find, and a little pricey ($7.99 for can that will last through a long, cold winter ---unless you also have cows, I guess), but the stuff works wonders! However, is there anything else out there that's better --- in y'all's humble opinions, of course?
