Tim, You can bet that I would enter a rough water race. Although I might prefer an obstacle course through Deception pass... But instead of a rough water Paddlewise race, how about a rough water paddlewise trip? My preferred destination would be Boiling Reef at the southeast end of Saturna Island. This is the only place on the map that has an adjective in front of those magic words: "tide rip" -- it says "very Heavy tide rips". The preferred route would be Washington park to Sucia, then Sucia to Saturna. From there, we could either go back the way we came, or head all the way to Sidney and catch a fery. I think there is some merit in trying to organize a paddlewise members trip. What do you think?
