Garmin's GPS 12XL price has been lowered - the most current models have a North America cities database already loaded - and from Jan 01 to March 31 there is a $50.00 rebate from the manufacturer. Lowest price I found was on the web at www.cyber-marine.com, at 235.95. Others at 239.00 (www.imaginegps.com) and 249.00. There are two 12XLs - an earlier model without cities (waypoints) loaded into the unit, and a later model with a North American cities database. I found the later model at 249.00 at Boater's World for 249.95 - after rebate, 199.95 - the earlier model, which was discounted to 219.99, was unavailable - no longer available. So, the older model without database not very available, and the newer model is somewhat discounted, in favor of a COLOR 12XL soon to be released.
