The archives are automated, at least all of the traffic is still at 
lists.intelenet.net.  You can download it in slabs, by date.  Sending
an email with the first line of help to majordomo_at_lists.intelenet.net
should get you started.  I'm assuming Jackie hasn't disabled archiving.

Someone on the baidarka mailing list created a site,
http://robroy.totalsports.net/baidarka, where the mailing list archives are 
now stored in searchable form.  I point this out since the baidarka mailing
list is also hosted by intelenet, so the whatever Charles figured out to do
the baidarka mailing list could quickly be adapted to paddlewise.  

My grumble with the mailing list becoming a web site is now the spammers 
email address harvesters simply hit that website, instead of jumping 
through any hoops to join the list and then sponge addresses.
