Brian Jernigan Atlanta, GA suburbs 39 (for a couple more weeks) Married, 15 month old daughter, #2 on the way in Sept. NOT an old fart... I think this apellation is more related to attitude than age! I'm just finishing up building a Pygmy Coho and hope to have it out for sea trials this weekend. I've been whitewater paddling for 7 or 8 years and decided a sea kayak would allow me to get out on the nearby lakes rather than spending an entire day driving back and forth to a river. I like staying closer to home now that the family's growing. I guess it was a combination of challenge, price, aesthetics and performance that lead me to a stitch & glue kit rather than a manufactured kayak. I also enjoy almost any other activity that involves water, frozen or otherwise; sailing, scuba diving, surfing, sailboarding, skiing (alpine & xc), ice hockey etc. We also enjoy hiking & backpacking. We're active in the Georgia Appalachian Trial Club. I think it's a toss-up between jet skis, 200 horsepower bass boats, 4 wheel ATVs and snowmobiles for the most obnoxious device invented by humans. Depends on the climate and predominant neck color in your part of the world I suppose. I'm enjoying Paddlewise very much. Being able to gain and share information among widely scattered folks with common interests is great. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
