Somewhere in the bios I saw one from a guy in Oklahoma. At the time I didn't think about this, but better late than never. :) If you live in the KS area you may be interested in some of the trips (mostly day floats) that the Kansas Canoe Association is doing this year. Of interest to the OK paddler would be a float Feb 27 on the Arkansas River from Grouse Creek to Traders Bend. Then on March 6 & 7 they will float on the Big Sugar Creek/Elk River in the extreme southwest corner of Missouri. There will also be floats in the northern part of Kansas that might be within reach of Nebraskans (grudgingly said, since my love of NE is rather low after watching my alma mater lose to NU last night). Info on the KCA can be found at http://www.tfsksu.net/~tjhittle/ The trip schedule is at http://www.tfsksu.net/~tjhittle/kcatrips.html BTW, canoes are not mandatory for the trips, sea kayaks work quite well. :) Mel --- There are three types of people, those who can count and those who can't. -----== Sent via Deja News, The Discussion Network ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Easy access to 50,000+ discussion forums *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
