Because of evaporative cooling, I now see Gore-Tex as safety equipment because it allows me to wear more than enough insulation underneath. When I wore my standard dry suit, I always worried about over dressing; this is no longer a big issue with the Gore-Tex. Further, with the Gore-Tex I now wear a dry suit in air temps that I would wear a standard dry suit -- this allows me to dress closer to the water temp. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Denton [mailto:BDenton_at_aquagulf.com] Sent: Monday, February 15, 1999 7:37 AM To: Robert C. I was out the other day in cold conditions (Air mid to upper 60s Water mid 70s) and was very comfortable. cu ************************************************************************ *** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ************************************************************************ *** *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************
