Paddle people,

Kim and I are heading to San Antonio this weekend and would like to bring the Dagger Bayou 2 along. Anyone have recommendations on where to paddle?

We know of the canals, but are they kayak friendly on a weekend? Are some canals better than others?

p.s. The "duck boat" as I call it has been working out well and with a bit of effort and paying attention will track reasonably straight, but I'm still thinking about whittling out skegs for the back AND front as wind conditions require. Anyone tried this kind of thing on a plastic fantastic?

River which has been controlled by locks etc. It is real nice to have a
margarita on the Riverwalk, but they have banned private navigation of
that part of the river. The details of how they legally accomplish that
are a little murky to me.
