This talk about a paddlewise rendevous at the "Great lakes Sympsium" got me
thinking. We should try a "paddlewise rendevous" at the upcoming San Juan
Challenge.

Is anyone on this list planning to participate in the San Juan Challenge?
Its a great event. If you are too sane to race the distance, they have a
predicted log category where you are judged on how accurately you predict
your paddle time. This way, anyone who can paddle 20 miles in a day can
participate. You can learn more about the San Juan Challenge at

     www.sjcraceandexpo.org

We could meet on Orcas Island at the end of the first day of racing. I'll
be easy to spot. I'm a large-girth'ed bearded fellow paddling a blue,
Kevlar Seda Glider. My Glider is distinctive 'cause I removed all the Seda
provided stickers to give the boat a cleaner look. The only sticker is the
boat's name: "Zorba".
