I'm curious if those who install under-deck bungees, etc have ever done a paddle float entry or re-enter and roll under ocean conditions? The first time I tried after installing the bungees, my feet became entangled and I removed them. I now install pump clips under the deck for a pump and keep the area clear. cu *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

Never had an entanglement problem, though, of course, the risk is not zero. -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.gasp-seakayak.net/paddlewise/ ***************************************************************************

The bungies under my deck are newly installed, so I've only been in the boat in pool conditions since they were put in (It's winter in NY, so we're still a couple of weeks away from real paddling). But I did wet exit and re-enter, and had no problem with the bungies - or with the pump that I had stored in the bungies. However, the paddle float floated out of the bungies, so they won't do for storing it. Murphy's Law states that if it's possible to get entangled in your under-deck bungees, you will! cya -----Original Message----- From: owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net [mailto:owner-paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net] On Behalf Of volinjo_at_juno.com Sent: Thursday, February 25, 1999 9:30 PM To: BDenton_at_aquagulf.com Cc: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subject: Re: [Paddlewise] Underdeck Bungees The bungies under my deck are newly installed, so I've only been in the boat in pool conditions since they were put in (It's winter in NY, so we're still a couple of weeks away from real paddling).
