Recently bought a Garmin GPS through Defender. This unit was supposed to have a $50 manufacturer's rebate. There was no indication of that when the shipment arrived. Phoned Defender and they said they had no knowledge of any rebate, and didn't handle that sort of thing anyway. Contacted Garmin, who said it was the reseller's (Defender's) responsibility to send out rebate info. However, they were pretty nice about it and agreed to fax me a rebate form. I don't think I'll buy anything from Defender for awhile.
