I can't help you with the waypoints, but I have a few suggestions. First, instead of lat/long, use UTM coordinates instead. Those are those little blue tick marks on the edge of a topo map. Those distances are in meters and of a fixed length so they are far more convenient to enter into your receiver. There is also some shareware available to transfer data between your receiver and your computer. Here in NJ, EMS has cables to connect the two. Also, Magellan has a GPS Topo-Guide which has lots of info, plus some overlay cards that you can line up on your topo sheet and read off the UTM coordinates directly. $15 or so. When you do find your points remember always to plot your route, not just the destinations. It's no fun in late evening to discover that you now have to paddle across an island to get to your campsite!
