This is a response to the post from Sylvia Jacobs. Sylvia, The sea anchor made by Boulter of Earth is called a sea anchor. It is made to reduce your drift as much as possible "anchoring you in place". When stopped in place I like to see the waves coming my direction so that I can react or prepare for them. Sea Drogues are made to reduce a vessels speed. This can help keep a boat from yawing. With a drogue in use the boat is still traveling so it is best for the boat to travel in a forward direction. That is why the drogue is attached to the stern of a boat. Drogues catch a lot less water than sea anchors do.
