This is a reply to the post from Robert Kline regarding the BCU 5 star training and assessment in the UK. I have a friend that went through the five star training and assessment two years ago. He said the most dangerous part of his trip to the UK took place in a pub. He was watching Nigel Dennis and a man from a Mountain Rescue Organization face off in the middle of the pub for the slap song. When the song started Nigel and this gent traded slaps in the face until the song was over. My friend got up during the middle of this competition and stood next to Nigel and his competitor. At a certain point Nigel and the other gent smiled and then slapped my friend, it may have occurred when he yelled " Go Team USA ". Beware of the pubs and never yell emergency port while in the UK, you never know what they may hand you in the glass.
