Thanks to all who responded privately and publicly to my request about info on Fontana and Douglas Lake. Three of you who responded had been to Fontana 20-25 years ago (maybe you all knew each other in the 70s?). Interestingly, while I got many responses on Fontana, I got none on Douglas Lake. Maybe no one has gone into that area and lived to tell about it? (sounds of banjos) Since I'll be there 2 weeks maybe I can check out both locations.
