I too can recommend the Cascade Designs Deck Bag. I have been using a prototype since 1996 and have found the double flap-protected zipper to be virtually watertight in inclement weather and crashing waves. I prefer to mount the bag in the stern deck area immediately behind the cockpit for reduced windage and to keep the foredeck area free for compass and map case.
